We were recently approached by a long-standing Lawson Electrical customer wanting to find out if a solar system would be beneficial to their household.
After an appraisal of the house, Rob set about designing their tailor-made solar system. Within the week a proposal was made, taking into account the layout and equipment most befitting of their household. Soon after the customer gave the go ahead and was ready to begin their solar journey.
The install consisted of 11x 400W solar panels, a GivEnergy hybrid inverter and 2x 5.2kW batteries. This allowed the electricity generated by the panels to be fed into and used around the house. Furthermore, any excess that was not used by the house could be relayed into the batteries. This is ready for peak hours when the electricity demand of the house is particularly high.
The installation took 2 days to complete and then a further day to sign it off under the MCS certification. The customer was thrilled with their new installation and was particularly impressed with the GivEnergy app. It allows them to see live production and consumption of their house. It also gives daily reports showing where each Kilowatt hour is assigned in the house and where it comes from.
