Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)

EICR electricians in Southend

The image attached is a snapshot from a recently completed EICR test for a long standing landlord client in Westcliff, Southend-on-Sea.

In order to comply with the latest regulations regarding electrical testing of rental properties, the Landlord had scheduled in this test at the end of an existing tenancy.

The EICR was completed over the course of 2 hours and some minor issues identified.

The electrical issues that were identified were then scheduled in to be rectified the very next day.

Once this was completed, the certificate for the new installation work was logged with NAPIT and a copy supplied to the managing agents and the Landlord.

Lawson Electrical have helped dozens of Landlords throughout the Southend on sea and surrounding areas to comply with their new obligations under the regulation that came into force on 1st June 2020.

We can perform EICR inspections at very short notice or book them months in advance.

When Do I Need An EICR?

EICR’s are electrical safety certificates, a legal requirement for landlords who let rental properties. They are valid for 5 years and give both the landlord and tenant the piece of mind that everything is safe from an electrical perspective in the home. Homeowners can have EICR’s to check the condition and safety of their electrical systems.

Those selling their homes have the option of EICR’s to show interested buyers the electrical systems ok. So can those buying homes.

EICR’s ensures that the electric system is safe in both rented and private properties.

Positive Input Ventilation Installs in Southend-On-sea and surrounding areas.

The cost of heating a home has increased significantly. Given this, it is no wonder many people are trying their best to reduce the amount of time they have the heating on. Unfortunately, this can give rise to damp and eventually mould as the heating is not on enough to dry out some of the damp houses naturally experience over time. A PIV system can be used to combat this and help prevent damp and the development of mould.
