Lawson Electrical recently completed another Solar installation in Southend. This install consisted of 2 strings of panels on two separate roof faces. The benefit to this is that the absolute maximum number of panels can be achieved. Furthermore, as they are on separate strings even if one set is in shade, the other set will still produce electricity.
The customer opted for a hybrid inverter for their system. A hybrid inverter is required if excess energy is being stored in batteries as opposed to being fed back into the grid. Although this customer didn't have any batteries in their system, they wanted to future proof the system in case they deemed it necessary in the future. As this particular customer works from home, they were hoping to make use of the majority of energy they produce during daylight hours.
This customer was also thinking about getting an electric car in the future. This effectively provides a battery to put excess electricity into if charged during daylight hours. Therefore, batteries may sometimes not be necessary for some households.
Rob at Lawson electrical takes time to make sure every install is fit for purpose. Every household is different and taking into account a family's daily routine is a big part of making sure the right setup is installed.
